The Difference Between Dynamic and Static IPs
A dynamic IP is an address the ISP reassigns on each redial or after a period of time; home broadband is mostly dynamic. A static IP is a fixed address, common for servers and enterprise leased lines.
The two behave differently when it comes to changing IPs, hosting / remote access, and fraud controls.
Dynamic IP
You can change the address by redialing, which suits scenarios that need IP rotation; but it's unsuitable for a fixed public-facing service.
Static IP
A fixed address, suited to hosting sites, remote access, and port forwarding; but once blacklisted it's hard to change.
